What's Happening Around the SWAMP!

Welcome to this week at Ella Banks Junior High.

We value the partnership we share with our families and appreciate the continued support you provide our students each day. Ella Banks is a place where high expectations, care, and opportunity come together, and that work is strengthened by your involvement.

This newsletter includes important updates, celebrations, and upcoming events. Thank you for taking the time to stay connected and for trusting us with your children.

Sincerely,
Dr. Dickey

READ BOWL – Campus Reading Challenge

We are excited to share that Brett Waller and Donna Deerfield will be hosting a READ BOWL, a campus-wide reading challenge designed to motivate students and celebrate reading.

This will be a competition between Gator Den classes, adding a fun and engaging element for our students. Please see the attached document for full details about the READ BOWL.
ELA teachers will be passing out reading logs on Monday.

At this time, we simply ask that all staff and families encourage students to read and participate.

Thank you for your support in helping build a strong reading culture across our campus.

Best regards,
Brett Waller & Donna Deerfield

A huge shout-out and thank you to the incredible team who made this UIL experience possible for our students.

Special recognition goes to Ms. Christina Roehling for her outstanding organization and leadership, along with support from Coach Therrien, Mr. Kracker, Ms. Rauda, Ms. Fornea, and Mr. Mei, who all gave their time, energy, and care to support our students throughout the event.

Additionally, thank you to Mrs. Bass, who served as our campus administrator on duty and ensured everything ran smoothly behind the scenes.

This level of support matters. Our students felt it, and their success reflects the collective commitment of this team.
