Principal Courtney Dickey leads the Gators at Banks Junior High School. She has 19 years of experience in education, including four years of service in Lamar CISD. Dr. Dickey has served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal at both the elementary and secondary levels throughout her career. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education, a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Master of Education in Educational Administration, and a Doctor of Education in K–12 School Leadership and Policy Studies and is passionate about building school cultures where students and staff feel connected, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential. As the founding principal of Banks Junior High, Dr. Dickey is honored to lead the inaugural Gator family and help establish traditions, systems, and opportunities that will impact generations of students. She believes that relationships are at the heart of every successful school and is committed to ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and challenged to grow.
